Who is excited for Valentine’s Day this weekend? I sure am – Valentine’s Day is certainly a glowing beacon of pink + red light amidst the mid-winter gloom of February. Between the chocolates and cinnamon hearts and messages of love, you just can’t go wrong this weekend!

I’ve rounded up seven ways to say I Love You with some incredible handmade items found on Etsy. I think it is the best place to find a unique gift for your true love – there are so many amazing designers out there! These products are really just a teensy scratch at the surface of amazing gifts you’ll find on Etsy.

This My Girl Pillow from BrightJuly is so adorable and a great way to remind your girl (whether it be your love or daughter or pet!) that you love her.

Blink blink blink! This Sleepy Clay Dish from BadgersHollow is so much fun! Perfect for eating tasty Valentine candies out of or stashing away your V-Day jewels!

Put an arrow right through your Valentine’s heart – figuratively! The Rose Gold Arrows from Mineral and Matter are so pretty and would look great as Valentine decor or displayed all year round.

This card is too much!  I Wuff You Card from Quill & Fox is a cute and cheeky way to get across what is really on your mind.

Treat your Valentine to a spa-like experience at home with the Coconut Milk Bath Soak from Herbivore Botanicals. This soak will be sure to pamper them in the best way possible – get ready for plenty of smooches post-bath!

A bit of a funny choice for a Valentine’s gift but this Guacamole T-Shirt from StupidFashion is absolutely perfect for your funny Valentine.

And lastly, if you are really looking to impress your true love (and get something awesome for your home at the same time) this Geodesic Pendant Lamp from Britta Gould is STUNNING. Plus, you can say something really corny and lovey about how each point on the pendant represents a different that you love about them.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend full of love + wonder! I’ll be celebrating with my little family – looking forward to the amazing weather!

Well, here we are, four days into December. How are you feeling so far? I am feeling pretty great especially since our baby’s due date is rapidly approaching – only 14 days away! I’ve been really getting into the Christmas spirit and trying to get our house in tip top shape before our little guy arrives. We’ve had our Christmas tree up for a few weeks already and we’ve just about got everything checked off of our gift giving list.

Lately, I’ve been stalking Etsy for some unique gift ideas and Christmas decor. I’ve found some incredible things (like these gorgeous geometric ornaments that I ordered above) among tons of other great gift ideas and decor! You can check out Etsy Canada’s amazing gift giving lookbooks here – there are some seriously amazing items in there!

These Geometric Tree Ornaments from Germany are stunning. I think they would look great adorning your Christmas Tree, on a minimalist themed wreath or even just slung across a simple dowel for a mantel-top display.

I just about gasped when I came across this gorgeous White Polish Star Ornament. This maker creates them in all sorts of colours and sizes. They even make them with sheet music – how creative is that? Reminiscent of sea urchins I think you could incorporate these ornaments into your decor all year round.

I really love these Linen Christmas Tree Ornaments. Such a fun and playful design, complete with the most adorable little tree trunks! If you aren’t a huge fan of traditional red & green Christmas garb, something like these trees will bring a bit of modern design to your home as you prep for the holidays. There is nothing wrong with experimenting with different decorating palettes year to year.

Because who doesn’t love airplants at the moment? This Himmeli Ornament Set + Airplant Holder is so cool and I’m totally trying to figure out a way I can incorporate into my home all year round. In case you haven’t played with airplants you should know that even the blackest thumb can have fun with these plants. They require little to none attention so you don’t have to worry too much about killing them off.

For any of your friends who love a bit of afternoonc crafting, this DIY Bird Kit would be a great stocking stuffer. These birds are so fun and colourful – once they’ve been DIY’d I think they would be such a fun addition to any space. Even attaching them to string to create a tiny mobile would be so cute!

If you are looking to send out Christmas cards this year, I found this gorgeous minimalist Merry Christmas Card on Etsy that is perfect for anyone who appreciates a bit of 90’s nostalgia. Something about it kinda reminds me of Saved by the Bell…

I love gifting mugs and coffee for Christmas. Even though sometimes it is hard to deal with a cupboard full of mismatched cups, there is something so special about a mug that someone picked out just for you. This TSC Teacup + Saucer in Check is no exception. I can picture myself or many of my friends enjoying a tea or coffee out of this great set.

Last year, I bought their Craft Beer Pairings calendar for Byron who absolutely loved it. When I saw their Stir & Shake 2015 Calendar I immediately fell in love. Since I am a cocktail lover, I know what a perfect gift this would be for many of my girlfriends who share my love of a delicious drink. Here’s to 2015!

You can’t go wrong with any sort of sparkle or tassel at this time of year. This Blush and Gold Leaf Tassel Mobile is so special and pretty; I think it would make a great addition to your holiday decor this year.

I am currently looking out the window at April flurries and I am not impressed. I am so ready for warm springy weather and I wish it was here by now – we could all use some green grass and a day spent on a patio. I know it is just around the corner so I’m looking for pretty things to get me more excited for this upcoming season. I am really looking forward to the long Easter weekend and can’t wait to spend it with my family indulging in eggs benny and hopefully some delicious chocolate treats!

I found so many beautiful things on Etsy today that just SCREAM spring! That soft pink rucksack is my dream bag for spring and summer adventures – I think it needs to be mine, no? And that little linen bunny definitely has a fun personality to it – a friend for my collection of sock monkeys perhaps. Those custom patterned bras are just stunning. Talk about spring dream lingerie. I’d love to lounge around in those on a warm day, curled up with a good book. And anything green is very good in my books, that is for certain. I am trying to stock up our home with as many succulent plants as possible and picking up fresh flowers whenever I remember. What is getting you inspired for spring? Are you planning something big for Easter weekend?

shop these spring finds:

mini square planter with herringbone pattern // large white porcelain triangular hanging planter // three pack of patterned bras // asphalt bangles // hand painted linen bunny // pair of little ceramic cat-shaped salt + pepper shakers // ice cream cone original illustration // florian cream canvas womens shoes // pink rucksack

As a total stationary nerd, one of my favourite things to do is pick out pretty wrapping paper with coordinating tags and string. I just spent the whole night wrapping up all of our hand-picked gifts and am currently admiring them all under the tree.  I couldn’t be more excited now that we are literally counting down the days until Christmas. What has made it even more special this year is the custom wrapping paper and tags from Minted.

With so many classic designs to choose from you can’t help but want to order them all. I ended up choosing the Blue Spruce in Black wrapping papers. I love the gorgeous vintage feel to it. And with 5 sheets for $15, I ended up wrapping a huge stack of books without ever running out of paper. Tied all up with candy-striped twine, the gifts need to be topped off with a really great tag. I chose the Holiday Pine cards in black and customized it with our names. The result is adorable as you can see below.

✚ You still have time to order your own custom Minted wrapping papers (including ones with your family photos!) + tags as long as you order by MIDNITE tomorrow (December 18th). When you spend over $50, you can upgrade to 2-day shipping with the promo code: 2DAY.

As the deals roll in this weekend, it is hard not to look for a bargain on the gifts you already planned on buying your loved ones this season. Usually, I don’t get caught up in these sales but this year I am trying to be more proactive in; a. getting better deals on everything; and b. getting my shopping done early.

The good folks at eBay Canada are trying to help too with their epic holiday Deal Frenzy sales! Everything is in limited quantity but the deals are amazing. Just browsing through the new deals I found tons of great gift ideas for my family – I rounded them up below for you to see. I mean, who doesn’t want a glossy Kitchenaid Mixer or a fabulous Canon DSLR? And since it is eBay, you have the opportunity to shop around a bit more and find the right deal for your budget. I love that!

There are so many great gift ideas beyond the goods I found today. I recently also found some great retailers on here for vinyl records that my husband has been looking for. If you can think of it, likely someone on eBay is selling it.

Since this is a crazy time of year for finances, I wanted to pass the buck on and gift one of my readers a $50 gift card to spend on eBay.ca! All you have to do to win is: leave a comment here telling me about who you still need to shop for on your Christmas list and letting me know you ‘follow’ eBay Canada on Twitter! Enter until December 4th – I will be drawing the winner in at midnite! Open to Canadian residents only.

My favourite deal finds of the day:

Canon EOS Rebel T4i Digital SLR Camera

Michael Kors Kempton Large East West Tote In Black

Leather Sport Analog Wrist Watch

Kitchenaid Stand Mixer tilt 5-QT
